Level 1

Once you have completed at least three logged games as an Apprentice, submitted that log and passed the online rules test you are eligible to be tested as a Level 1 umpire. A Level 1 rating indicates that the umpire is competent to control basic games in a safe manner.

A Level 1 rating may be awarded for 1, 2 or 3 years at the discretion of the tester.

As a Level 1 umpire you will become eligible to umpire some additional types of game (e.g. BUCS or Club Ordinary Fixtures and U15 National Schools) and to undertake some more complex games with an umpire of at least Level 2 (eg BUCS and Club Premier Fixtures). However, there are certain types of game which you still may not umpire.
